Say hello to spring and goodbye to your winter ways. It’s time to shake off the blankets, stretch it out and get back into a fitness routine. Here’s how you can get active and earn up to 300 Vitality points this September with our exciting new online workouts.
Spring is here, so get up, stretch it out, smell the jasmine and get ready to be wowed by our exciting line-up of spring workouts just for you.
Here’s what you can look forward to this spring.
Get active with our amazing pop-up workouts
Put a spring in your step this month with our amazing fitness partners – JEFF Fitness and Jordy from Vitality Gym. Join JEFF on Saturday, 5 September, at 08:00 for a morning of fun, and again on Thursday, 24 September, for a magnificent Heritage Day workout.
But that’s not all. Vitality Gym’s Jordy is raring to get you in tip-top shape on Saturday, 12 September, at 08:30. Remember his HIIT-IT-UP winter workout? You haven’t met Spring-into-action Jordy yet!
Here’s how you will earn 300 Vitality points for each workout session:
- Log in to your Vitality profile on the Discovery website or app.
- Go to 'Event name description' and type in the event name from our workout calendar.
- Select the workout date.
- Click on 'Race Type' and from the drop-down menu select the event name.
- Under 'Member's race number', type in your ID or passport number.
- Click on 'Distance' and from the drop-down menu select the event name.
- Under the 'Time' section, please fill in both time fields.
- For example: If you trained for 1 hour 30 minutes, type in '01hours 30mins' or if you trained for 45 minutes, type '00hours 45mins'.
- Upload proof that you attended the workout session. Proof can be a screen grab or photo showing you logged in to the session.
- Enter the website address where the event was hosted.

Saving the best for last – it’s our FREE online workouts for Vitality members 65 and up.
The Vitality 65+ fitness challenge kicks off on Tuesday, 1 September, at 09:00. Come and enjoy a live workout on Zoom with Planet Fitness trainers, get expert advice from biokineticist Wendy Vermaak, and end the session with mindful meditation.
Then, join our workouts which are tailored for members 65 years and older, every Tuesday and Thursday, at 08:30, until 29 September. There’s something for everyone – from yoga and Pilates to Zumba and dance. Check out the September schedule.
