Impact Alert

Impact Alert is a DQ-Track feature that keeps you and your family safe on the road by providing emergency assistance when we detect a severe impact on your vehicle. ImpactAlert will work as long as your DQ-Track is functioning and you're in an area with cellular network coverage.

Vehicle panic button

When you join Discovery Insure and activate the smartphone-enabled DQ-Track, you can use your smartphone power button as a panic alert.

For this feature to work, your phone needs to be connected to the Vitality Drive Sensor. Android users can turn their phone into a panic button by simply pressing the power button five times in quick succession to send a panic alert to Discovery Insure. If you have an iOS device, simply press the red panic button that appears at the top right of the dashboard on your Discovery Insure app.

An alert will be sent to Discovery Insure and you'll receive a notification to confirm that the alert has been sent. The Discovery Insure call centre will try to contact you or the people listed on your policy. If they can't get hold of you, they will immediately dispatch an emergency response team to assist you with your vehicle emergency.

Discovery 911 is an emergency medical service that will ensure you receive the emergency care you need. Call Discovery 911 on 0860 999 911. Our call centre is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Weather Warnings

Using weather data combined with DQ-Track location data, we warn you of imminent bad weather by SMS*, for example, when a large hailstorm is approaching, where it would be safer for your car to be parked under a roof and not driving on the roads.
