How you can join in
Between now and end November 2023, if you use your Discovery Bank virtual card for 50 in-store payments, we'll donate one rugby ball or one netball on your behalf to sports development in South Africa.
PLUS, you'll get double the taps between 20-30 November for every payment! That's double the chance towards supporting our future sport champions.
Note that only taps with a virtual card and not a physical card will count! Online purchases made with your virtual card will count too.
Organisations that will benefit
Tag Rugby® Association - a non profit, public benefit organisation registered with the Department of Social Development and an Associate Member of the South African Rugby Union (SARU) that develops grassroots youth sport programs.
VUKA Rugby - a sustainable rugby programme developed by the South African Rugby Legends (SARLA), in partnership with SARU, that aims to develop and promote rugby in disadvantaged communities and areas where it is not being played.
South African Deaf Rugby Association - an associate member of SARU that supports deaf and hard of hearing youth, men and women, and creates opportunities for them to play rugby regionally and internationally.
Dreamfields - a non-profit organisation that uses the power of sport - including finding and coaching the next generation of netball stars - to create better schools, more opportunities and stronger communities in rural areas and townships across the country.
Netball South Africa - the governing body for netball in South Africa which is responsible for overseeing the practice of the sport across the country.

Here are the step-by-step instructions
- Select Cards in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll right and tap Add Card.
- Select Add a Virtual card.
- Select the account to link the virtual card to and select a purpose for the card.
- Set a spend limit, if needed, and tap Next.
- Select a PIN for your virtual card, then tap Next.
- Check the details and tap Confirm to complete.
Then add it in your digital wallet of choice - Apple Pay, Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay or SwatchPAY! and use it to pay in-store.
