Earn max Ðiscovery Miles by using your virtual card
To help encourage the use of this valuable digital technology, the maximum base Ðiscovery Miles earning rate will be linked to the use of a virtual card for all of your day-to-day online and in-store spending from 1 December 2023. To ensure you keep earning the maximum potential base Ðiscovery Miles, simply pay with a virtual card instead of a physical card.
Your virtual card base earn rate of up to 1 Discovery Mile per R15 spent will still be determined by your Vitality Money status and Discovery Bank product. However, all purchases made using a physical card (even if linked to a digital wallet) will earn base Ðiscovery Miles at a flat rate of 1 Discovery Mile per R100. This change does not impact any of your other Vitality Money rewards like Vitality Active Rewards Spend goals, HealthyFood, or travel rewards.
To earn Ðiscovery Miles for making purchases with your virtual card, you need to have a Discovery Bank Suite, Credit Card Account, or Transaction Account with bundled fees, and you must activate Vitality Money.
