You can download a certified bank statement straight from your banking app any time you need one. You'll be notified each month when your latest statement is loaded to your banking app, so you can conveniently save, certify and download it in seconds. If it's valuable, lock it in your Smart Vault

With Smart Vault, you can directly link a photo or file on your phone to a specific transaction in your banking app. Just scan and attach the file, or snap a pic of your receipt, warranty or other important document - and link it right away to the transaction it relates to. Smart Search lets you search for key phrases or merchant names to find a specific transaction. In just a few taps, you can search for transactions by description and account, filter your transactions for various elements, and create custom transaction lists. You can even download and export your lists in the format of your choice (Excel or CSV) for easy bookkeeping.

7 steps to use Smart Search on your banking app

1. Log in to the Discovery Bank app.
2. Select the account you want to search.
3. Tap the three-dot menu at the top right of your screen.
4. Select Smart Search.
5. Select one of the filter options.
6. Type in what you want to search.
7. Tap on Search and view your results.

You can also download the transactions and have it sent to the email address on your profile. Simply:

1. Tap the three-dot menu at the top right of your screen.
2. Tap Download Transactions.
3. Choose a file format and tap on Send.
