How it works

When you buy HealthyFood items from Pick n Pay or Woolworths, you'll get a portion of your monthly HealthyFood spend paid back to you, as a reward for eating healthier. Your maximum HealthyFood reward is based on your engagement level with the Vitality Health and Vitality Money programmes.

Up to 25% back at your preferred shopping partner when you (and your spouse, if applicable) complete a Vitality Age assessment and Vitality Health Check every 12 months. You'll still earn up to 10% back at the other shopping partner.

Up to 20% back at your preferred shopping partner when you (and your spouse, if applicable) complete a Vitality Age assessment and Vitality Health Check every 12 months.

Your total HealthyFood reward is based on the Vitality health assessments you complete, your Vitality Money status, Discovery Bank account type and your Discovery Card spend.

What you need to know

If you've already activated your HealthyFood benefit but haven't selected a preferred HealthyFood partner (where you will earn maximum HealthyFood rewards), log in to your Discovery profile to finalise your selection.

If you haven't yet activated your HealthyFood benefit, you will be prompted to choose a preferred partner during the activation process. Log in to your profile to activate HealthyFood and choose a preferred partner.

Once you've activated the HealthyFood benefit, only the main member on the Vitality Health membership may change the preferred partner once every rolling 12-month period from the date of activation and thereafter from the date of change.

If you have a Pick n Pay Smart Shopper partner card, you can link it to Vitality by logging into your Discovery profile.

Make sure that your ID number is linked to your Pick n Pay Smart Shopper card by visiting www.pnp.co.za, and following these steps:

  • Log in to your profile and then click on the Your Account drop-down menu and navigate to My Dashboard and then Edit Profile.
  • Make sure that your ID number has been captured correctly under your personal details, so that you can earn your HealthyFood rewards.
