Fitbit-linked devices still qualify for Vitality points
If you're a Vitality member with a linked Fitbit fitness device, don't worry. You can still earn Vitality points for tracking your steps, heart-rate and speed workouts.
You may have seen recent press about Fitbit exiting the South African market. In this article, we explore what this will mean for you.
No new sales, but Vitality points continue
While you may not be able to buy a Fitbit device in South Africa, you can still link and sync your Fitbit with Vitality and earn Vitality points.
As a Vitality member, you can earn up to 300 Vitality points a day when you track your steps, heart-rate and speed workouts with a Fitbit device. You can earn Vitality fitness points for one physical activity a day up to a maximum of 30,000 points a year.



Plus, track your workouts to close your exercise ring on Vitality Active Rewards and earn weekly rewards. The following Fitbit device models are compatible with Vitality:
- Charge 1-5
- Inspire 1-3
- Versa 1-4
- Senser 1-2
- Luxe
To link your Fitbit account to Vitality, go to the Devices and Apps screen on the Discovery app or website, select Fitbit and enter your account login details.
