CPR course
You will earn 1000 Discovery Miles for doing a CPR course with an instructor accredited by the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa (RSCA). CPR courses done as part of a Level 1, 2 or 3 first aid course accredited by the Department of Labour or a relevant Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) will qualify for Discovery Miles provided that you have Vitality Active Rewards active at the time of completing the course.
Discovery Miles will only be awarded at the end of Quarter 1 2020. If you completed an accredited CPR course prior to 1 January 2020 you will continue to receive 2 500 Vitality points for every year the certificate is valid.

What you need to know
To be eligible for Discovery Miles you must have an active Vitality policy. You must be active on Vitality Active Rewards at the time of completing the accredited CPR course to earn the Discovery Miles. The centre and instructor(s) must be accredited with the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa. Click here to find a list of accredited centres.
At Discovery we aim to provide our members with the best service possible. We've streamlined the process used to allocate Discovery Miles for CPR courses and taken the hassle out of claiming for your Discovery Miles. We will automatically award these Discovery Miles to you after you complete a CPR course with an instructor that's accredited by the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa (RCSA). The council will send the information to Vitality and we will award your Discovery Miles. Simple and convenient.
We will also award Discovery Miles if you do a CPR course as part of a Level 1, 2 or 3 first aid course accredited by the Department of Labour or a relevant Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) provided that the course instructor is accredited and submitted by the RCSA.

Your Discovery Miles will be awarded to your Vitality Active Rewards.
Your Discovery Miles will be paid a month after you complete the course.
No, you will be awarded 1 000 Discovery Miles in the year you complete the accredited CPR course. Discovery Miles will not be reallocated for every year that the certificate is valid, but can be earned again when a new accredited CPR course is completed after 2 years.
