What's a moderate workout?
A moderate workout is when you exercise at 70% to 79% of your maximum heart rate.

What's a vigorous workout?
A vigorous workout is when you exercise at 80% and more of your maximum heart rate.

  • Swimming fast
  • Singles tennis
  • Soccer
  • Aerobics
  • High-intensity interval training (HIIT)

Pro-tip: You know you're doing a vigorous workout when you can't say a few words without pausing to take a breath.
