Wayde raced into our hearts with his performance in the 400 metre men’s final at the Rio 2016 Olympics. He broke the 17-year-old record held by American legend, Michael Johnson, with a new time of 43.03 seconds. At only 24, he is also a four-time South African champion in the 400m event.
