The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting society on many levels, and businesses both large and small are required to manage an unprecedented operating environment. Every employer needs to understand the COVID-19 virus and its potential impact on business and society.

COVID-19 Information Hub

This information hub is available to all employers and employees and includes accurate and up-to-date information on COVID-19 and information on how to curb the spread of infection through education and awareness. Employers also have access to educational toolkits, COVID-19 regulatory developments and latest news here.

Discovery Healthy Company COVID-19 resources and support

Employers who have taken out the Healthy Company product have access to a range of COVID-19 tools and resources across the four dimensions of wellbeing. This includes a COVID-specific toolkit which contains downloadable content to send to employees to support them during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Employers with the Healthy Company product can access these tools by logging on to the Employer Zone and selecting Healthy Company.

Introducing Discovery COVID-19 Business Support

In partnership with MSO International, Discovery has developed dedicated COVID-19 business support services. These support services will assist you and your management teams in formulating and executing an effective response to COVID-19 to protect your employees during this pandemic. Discovery COVID-19 Business Support includes a support centre managed by healthcare professionals at multiple levels of expertise. The support centre can assist you and your employees across prevention methods, symptom identification, employee risk classification, testing, and case management of COVID-19 positive cases, as well as mitigation against misinformation that can distract from clinical health prevention support.

Discovery COVID-19 Business Support also offers:

  • Support for management
    Support for your management and your employees through access to the Discovery COVID-19 employer toolkit as well as a hotline directly to a team of healthcare professionals who are available 24/7 with the latest information and guidance relating to COVID-19.
  • Case management for suspected COVID-19 cases
    In the event of a suspected case, employees will be referred by the employer to the COVID-19 hotline where a comprehensive screening and triage process will be performed. In the event of a positive COVID-19 case, Discovery will manage the individual case including isolation, daily check-ins, and confirmation for safe return to work. In addition, Discovery will facilitate tracing to understand the extent of the exposure in the workplace, provide guidance on disinfection protocols and daily reporting for executive management on all suspected and confirmed cases.
