On 15 August 2011, Discovery issued 8 000 000 non-cumulative, non-participating, non-convertible, voluntarily redeemable, no par value B Preference Shares at an issue price of R100 per share by way of private placement. The B preference shares were listed on the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa under the abbreviated short name "DSY B PREF" with alpha code "DSBP" in the "Specialist Securities"- Preference Share sector of the market.
