Earlier this year, we launched Vitality Travel, an advanced and comprehensive travel booking platform offering upfront discounts on a wider range of airline partners. Discovery Bank clients can use the platform to access amazing Vitality discounts of 10% to 75% off local and international flights, as well as up to 25% off accommodation and car hire.

Our already wide range of airline partners have been further enhanced since then and you can now enjoy your Vitality discounts with local airlines Airlink, Cemair, FlySafair, Lift and South African Airways (SAA), as well as international airline partners British Airways (BA), Emirates and Qantas.

The booking platform offers Discovery Bank clients a single place to book all their travel, with the ability to pay with their Discovery Bank card or with their Discovery Miles for an even more rewarding journey. Relax with us at The Lounge - a partnership with SAA lounges

Discovery Bank Purple, Black and Platinum clients (with a bundled fees product) can enjoy the beginning of their beautiful adventures at The Lounge by Discovery Bank - in partnership with South African Airways (SAA). These lounges will soon be tailored with our unique Vitality offering - think premium coffee, healthier food options and more. Plus, as a special introductory offer, you can enjoy unlimited complimentary visits for the rest of 2022!

The new luxury lounges are now available at OR Tambo International (domestic and international departures and international arrivals), Cape Town International (domestic departures), King Shaka International (domestic departures) and Gqeberha's Chief Dawid Stuurman International (domestic departures).

Get quick access to international passport control

Discovery Bank Priority Fast Track has made navigating security queues more convenient for a while now. Discovery Bank Priority Fast Track is an exclusive benefit offering a dedicated fast lane for airport security screening for Discovery Bank clients with a Black or Purple card. Clients have been enjoying this benefit at domestic departures security screening at OR Tambo International Airport and Cape Town International Airport.

Now international travellers can also enjoy this fast and efficient access with a new Discovery Bank Fast Track lane at international passport control at OR Tambo International Airport. Discovery Purple cardholders can now skip the international passport control queues with Priority Fast Track when they arrive in Johannesburg from an international trip.

More holiday stays with Booking.com

Discovery Bank clients can already get up to 25% off at a wide selection of local Vitality Holiday Accommodation partners on the Vitality Travel platform. Now they can also get access to millions of non-discounted local and international accommodation options with Booking.com listings on the platform too. You can choose to pay for Bookings.com accommodation with your Discovery Miles or Discovery Bank account.

Over 200 new international airline partners and airports

Along with enjoying discounted flights at a wide range of local and international flight partners, we've integrated a wider, non-discounted global network of over 200 airlines to reach destinations worldwide through the Vitality Travel platform. While you won't be able to use your Vitality discounts for these flights, it will make planning your whole trip easier having access to all these airlines in one place. You can add as many flights as needed to your trip booking and pay for your entire trip with your Discovery Miles or Discovery Bank account.

Refunds for cancelled flights

With the unfortunate news that one of Vitality's longest-standing rewards partners, Comair, has stopped operations, you might be wondering what happens to your refunds for cancelled flights - and your travel rewards going forward - now that you can no longer use kulula.com.

In order to assist our clients with cancelled flights, Discovery Bank has automatically refunded the amount that any Vitality member spent on discounted into the Vitality member's Discovery Bank account. This refund process was automatic, so no action was required from members.
